Morgan became acquainted with Eric and his wife and children in 2001 while she was living with Fund at the Jersey City apartment. Eric was then happily involved in his family, as he is today. But he also was an enthusiastic Republican Conservative who had spent a lot of time on Free Republic and donated to them.
His good times on Free Republican ended when Morgan was at the 9th Street Apartment. Since Eric knew Morgan was not, as was being said, a Liberal Plant, he defended her and found his account canceled. So much for free speech.

have served as a youth counselor for my church as well as counseling the survivors of domestic violence. I am a life-long conservative as well as a firm member of the Republican Party. I became acquainted with Morgan Pillsbury on line several years ago and talked to her on a regular basis during the period when she was living with John Fund at his apartment in New Jersey. On several occasions while she was living there I was on the phone with Morgan when John entered the apartment and was shocked and struck by the obvious fear in her voice. From what I listened to those nights there is no doubt in my mind that Mr. Fund was abusing Morgan. I heard to abuse. I recognized his voice, having followed his commentary for several years previously. The voice of her abuser was John Fund.

Dear Eric,
We are presently in Williamsport PA doing a little research and
having a little time out. I need it. I did the
hospitality suite for Phillies and seconded his nomination for Chair
of the LP. You might have seen me if you watched. I
missed most everything because of the politicing.
Morgan seems a little better but she is still worried about the
threats. She may be going to stay with friends for a while.
