Craig's fantasies have never changed, evidently since he first realized the joy of having people pay attention to what he did. With three younger siblings, the next coming only ten months after his own birth, Craig did not get much maternal attention. When his son, Jonathan Scott Franklin, was arrested for attempting to have his wife killed last year it was only weeks before Craig was thinking and talking about wrenching custody of his son's children, including a girl, aged 7, from their mother. Talks with his sister, the only member of his family who will tolerate Craig, began. His sister was miffed when Scott's estranged wife refused to return the engagement ring Scott gave her, a family heirloom. Craig's sister said she did not want it going out of the family. But Craig's sister has no children of her own and in now in her 50s. Who, if not her niece, the person the ring will go to, should have a family heirloom?

His sister told him she would use her background in social work to help find evidence showing the children's mother was an unfit parent. Craig could then have custody. The sister is being compensated for her services in this and for cleaning up after Scott and going with him to court to face charges of attempted murder by hire and possession of child pornography.
Craig tells folks he is a great father. Here is a letter his former wife wrote him about their marriage, fatherhood included. Here is also a letter written by his adopted daughter, Ayn, in 1999 as a declaration for the court in Santa Barbara.
Fatherhood is all about being a good example and also ensuring you stand by those you parent. Here is a video of Craig's adopted son, Arthur, who suffered a major brain injury, thanks to Craig. Naturally, Craig avoided paying anything for Arthur's support by lying, behavior to be expected in a psychopath.
And now Craig, who had no long term relationship with his own children or grandchildren, comes out with a children's record? Chasing Ivory May, a plus size model, became an obsession with Craig. We were told Craig met Ivory on a website called Seeking Arrangement or one of the others where Ivory lists herself.
Psychopaths, lacking conscience and empathy, are motivated in ways which are so strange to normal individuals as to be incomprehensible. Taking pleasure in the pain caused in others is often such a drive in psychopaths.
Craig seeks out women who are emotionally and financially vulnerable. He uses money to gain control. When he is finished he destroys them.
Craig is now being audited by the IRS. His former wife said she cannot sympathize given what he did to her financially when she cleaned up his last disaster.

Here is Craig celebrating his birthday with a lavish event given for himself. All those attending, from what I understand, were either on 'contract' with Craig, receiving monthly checks, or his hourly rate, which is reported to vary from $50 and hour to $500. One girl gave Craig a pen for Christmas so he would be able to always have one available to write more checks. That letter is here. As he raised his glass he said, "Feel the love in the room." Is it really love if you have to pay for it? Or is Craig talking about the love of money.

Craig brings his pleasures back to work with him because his position at Green Hills Software, his use of the corporate email, and tours of his office, give him the respectability he needs to make his predatory behavior work. If he had to take women back to his small condo on Por La Mar, never cleaned up completely from a flood from the bathroom upstairs, they would bolt for the door. What kind of compensation does it take for a company to tolerate someone like Craig? Soon discovery will start with GHS and Dan named as defendants. Then we will find out exactly. What matters to Craig Franklin? Craig's sex life is important to him. He spends a huge amount of his income on finding ever more women. Living otherwise like a nerd still in Mom's basement, his other expenditures are minimal. Craig does not differentiate between normal male - female relationships, such as dating and marriage, and prostitution, most probably because the two are exactly the same to him. Craig lives in a condo a short drive from his work as Senior Vice President of Green Hills Software, which is filled with enough boxes to give credence to the rumor he is a candidate for the A & E show, Hoarders. We understand he is being nominated for an intervention, which would be an interesting contrast to having been on Win Ben Stein's Money. Will Craig appear at the door of his condo dressed in his tux for the clean up as he appeared on Stein's show? Will Dan O'Dowd or his other fellow vice presidents Jack Douglas, Jeffrey Hazarian, David Kleidermacher, Christopher Smith, or David Chandler show up to help clear boxes and clean the bathroom? After his appearance on Win Ben Stein's Money Craig passed out videos to everyone he knew. No one knew what to do with them. Presumably, his coterie of paid friends and everyone at Green Hills Software, are now eagerly awaiting the release of the video produced for the Roast Craig put on for himself. Perhaps Dan and his wife, Amy, will receive a specially autographed copy. Rita Pertile, who Craig gave away at her wedding just last autumn in Santa Barbara, is producing the tape for him. Rumor has it that remarks from David Chandler were left on the cutting room floor, so to speak. Dave was the only executive from GHS to attend the event.

Here is Regina with Craig The oddity of someone orchestrating an award event for himself, rather like having a Gold Medal made and presented at a staged event without the bother of having to go into training and win the competition, struck many who attended. However, reports indicate the food was scrumptious. Craig's method for dealing with clutter and things with which he does not want to deal, for instance the unopened letters from his son, Jonathan Scott Franklin, now in jail in Marysville awaiting sentencing, is to throw the items in a box. Franklin's son pleaded guilty on February 3, 2010. Jonathan Scott was jailed last July for hiring an undercover officer, he believed to be a hit man, to kill his estranged wife. The wife, referred to in court documents as KF, had grown tied of working while he sat in front of his computer all day playing video games and watching porn. Naturally, Craig and his family decided the murder attempt was KF's fault. “She pushed him too far,” was the comment heard from various members of the family. How asking he find a job is, “pushing” went unanswered. The items which accumulated in Craig's boxes include dirty underwear. Craig's toilet habits include soiling himself on not infrequent occasions. Because of these issues the boxes are a problem for him. He cannot clean them out himself and so is always looking for someone to clean boxes, sit in the hot tub with him and then get him a glass of orange juice and tuck him into bed. Everyone who knows Craig well enough to have him use their bathroom facilities, his son, his sister, Anne, myself, his former wife, and others, has commented on Craig's habit of defecating in the tub and other places not normally used for this purpose. Craig's table manners were the source of comedic emulation among our children. For instance, the deft single finger which pecks up all the crumbs which found their way off the shelf of his belly during dinner and the practice of picking up the plate and drinking any spare sauce he could not get with his spoon. The slurping sent some present into shock at one Green Hills Software Christmas party I attended. It was interesting to compare notes with Anne and realized during our many discussions not much had changed. Craig is uncomfortable with relationships where he does not have control. For Craig, control means paying the individual money. No one Anne knows from Craig's circle is definitely there paying their own way, as friends most often do. All, by her observation, do 'work' for him, or 'date' him. The only uncertainty is which individuals belong in which categories. Nellie is the one who is not blond. Craig is still looking for, "The One." No one exactly knows what that means but as long as he is looking they know he will keep writing checks. Until recently all the Girls believed that eventually Ivory, the woman Craig keeps asking to marry him and have his children,would say 'Yes.' Craig wants more children, he tells everyone he meets. Craig has thought Ivory would be "The One," for years. He was sure she would eventually say, "Yes" even after he raped her, his, as he puts it, "four minute mistake." But recently even he has lost hope. So Craig went back to one of the places he found Ivory, Seeking Arrangement, and found another woman he hopes will be the One. The new candidate for being The One is Sarah from Newport Beach, who told Craig she is, "High upkeep."
