In defining the below as syndromes we considered identifying them as 'behavioral strategies.' We decided to use the word syndrome, "A
recognisable collection of symptoms and signs indicating a particular
disease or condition," because of the highly toxic nature of the cooperation between the two and, of course, because both are founded on a condition that brings into question the humanity of the psychopathic.
Craig Franklin Syndrome - A psychopath who forms a long term, cooperative relationship with a normal individual who intentionally covers for the psychopath for their own benefit.
Dan O'Dowd Syndrome - A normal person who cooperates with a psychopath to overcome disabilities, including intellectual, technical,or personal, to make use of the psychopath for their own gain.
Gail Heriot Syndrome - A normal person but socially challenged woman who is less than normally attractive who makes herself an object of ridicule by defending a psychopath who pays her nominal attention for his own purposes.
